| "After working 18 years in the corporate world, I left my job to pursue a career that incorporated my passion for good food and cooking. I’ve always enjoyed cooking for my own friends and family – but I wanted the best preparation I could find in cooking as a career. After considering many options, I discovered the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA), and began to research the “personal chef” phenomenon. In a heartbeat, I knew I’d found my calling. Becoming a personal chef was exactly what I was meant to do. I became a member of the USPCA, completed an intensive training program, and began working toward certification, which I achieved in June, 2006. Not all personal chefs are certified, but I believe it’s an important step for those who are serious about cooking for others as a career. Being a personal chef allows me the opportunity to prepare an exciting variety of fresh, healthy and delicious foods every day. It also allows me to meet a lot of wonderful people – my clients! The best part of my job is seeing the enjoyment they get from having a great meal at home with their families every night – without any of the hassle! I consider it an honor and a joy to cook for others. I’d love for you to join my other clients around the table, and “leave it to Liz” to make your best meals happen at home." |
